Erectile Dysfunction
Pelvic floor physiotherapy supports the muscles that control penile blood flow.
What is Erectile Dysfunction?
Erectile dysfunction is a common condition. Pelvic Health Physiotherapy trains the pelvic floor muscles that control penile blood flow, improving circulation and supporting nerve and tissue health.
Treatment is private, evidence-based, and addresses both the muscle and lifestyle factors involved — without relying solely on medication.

How we treat it
Pelvic floor muscle training strengthens the bulbocavernosus and ischiocavernosus muscles — the muscles that retain blood in the penis during erection. Weakness in these muscles can lead to venous leakage.
For men with hypertonic (overly tight) pelvic floors, we use manual therapy, stretching, biofeedback, and relaxation work instead of more strengthening.
Post-prostatectomy rehabilitation focuses on nerve recovery and muscle strengthening, alongside breathing, core coordination, and lifestyle modifications — posture, smoking, alcohol, and chronic sitting all play a role.
